EDM Sparking Operator (Tool Room)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up EDM (CNC / Conventional) machines for moulds, punches, and dies.
• Prepare electrodes and ensure correct offset, alignment, and positioning.
• Apply knowledge of spark gap, orbit patterns, and EDM parameters to achieve desired surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machining parameters, electrode wear, and machining progress.
• Read and interpret tool drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of EDM machines and work area.
• Collaborate with design and assembly teams for tool development and modifications.
• Follow safety protocols and 5S standards.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in EDM sparking operations.
• Strong understanding of spark gap settings, orbit patterns, and machining parameters.

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of tool steel and electrode materials (Copper / Graphite).
• Ability to maintain quality, precision, and productivity.
