• Design plastic components for injection Moulding using 3D CAD software.
• Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.

• Should be able to make fixture for plastic machining and holding.
• Prepare master file as per ISO standard.
• Collaborate with mould design and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling feasibility.

  • New Supplier Onboarding Process (Documents, Process Auditing, Evaluation, NC, Action Plan and Follow-up)

  • Attend the daily review meeting for outsourcing plan, movement, follow-up and engage with the team

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers, prepare comparison statements for finalization and approval process

  • Conduct supplier visits and follow up on jobs

  • Prepare department supportive documents

  • Apply and monitor 7 QC Tools for problem-solving, rejection analysis and process improvement

Engineer - New product Implementation

Exp- 5-7 years
Coimbatore 

Role & responsibilities:

  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review.
  • Coordinate with the design team for mould design and tool development.
  • Prepare and monitor project timelines, APQP documents, and PPAP submissions.
  • Plan and conduct mould trials, evaluate part dimensions, and support tool corrections.
  • Liaise with customers for approvals, change management, and engineering reviews.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase teams for smooth project execution.
  • Support cost estimation and BOM preparation for new components.
  • Maintain project documentation, design history, and ECN records.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned for future projects.


Preferred candidate profile:

  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding process and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFM, and GD&T.
  • Excellent project coordination and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze mould trial reports and identify corrective actions.
  • Exposure to automotive/aerospace/medical parts (preferred).
