Senior Tool Designer - Plastic Injection Mould


  • Create 3D CAD models and 2D detailed drawings of injection moulds using Creo.

  • Design core, cavity, cooling systems, gating, runner systems, and ejection mechanisms.

  • Ensure mould designs meet customer product requirements, tolerances, and production volumes.

  • Review part design for mouldability and suggest improvements to product designers.

  • Ensure adherence to GD&T and industry standards.

  • Coordinate with toolmakers, machinists, and vendors during tool manufacturing.

  • Support mould trials and resolve design-related issues.

  • Maintain all design documents, revision history, and templates as per ISO/AS9100 or customer-specific requirements.

  • Participate in customer meetings for technical discussions and approvals.

  • Suggest design changes to improve tool life, reduce cycle time, and minimize production defects


  • Expert-level Creo Parametric skills for 3D modelling and detailing.
  • Proficiency in mould flow analysis tools (Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow, etc.) preferred.
  • Understanding of different mould types: 2-plate, 3-plate, hot runner, multi-cavity, insert moulds, etc.
  • Familiarity with mould steels, heat treatment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.

  • Strong knowledge of injection mould design principles and mould components.
  • Certified training in Creo design tools is an advantage.
