Junior Engineer - Process Planner

• Interpret 2D/3D tool designs and GD&T to create process plans.

• Define manufacturing sequences for all tooling components.

• Allocate operations to conventional, CNC, EDM, WEDM, and grinding machines.

• Estimate machining time and set cost targets for each operation.

• Prepare process sheets, route cards, and operation layouts.

• Coordinate with design, CNC programming, and production teams.

• Plan tool modifications, insert changes, and revisions.

• Monitor WIP status and provide support for delays or deviations.

• Standardize tooling methods and suggest process improvements.

• Ensure alignment with ISO, 5S, and safety practices in tool manufacturing.

• Process planning, machining sequences, and job routing

• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM basics

• Familiarity with machine tools VMC, EDM, WEDM, Lathe, Grinding

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems
• Costing and time estimation
